Here at Grain Traders, we’re welcoming the holidays a little earlier this year. It has truly been a fulfilling 2017, and we wish to thank you in the best possible way with several dishes that encompass the very essence of Christmas: homely and warm. To make things extra exciting, these dishes comprise of an addition to each of our Protein, Hot Veggie and Cold Veggie options—let’s take a closer look at what’s special to mix, eat, and love this festive season.

Prepared wholeheartedly and with extra care, we give this Christmas favourite a lift Grain Traders in our Sous-vide Turkey Breast with Mushroom Stew. The turkey is marinated in the usual herbs of the season, such as thyme and rosemary, before being sous-vided for 2 hours at a fixed temperature, allowing the nutrients and flavours to be locked in while the meat of the turkey is kept tender and moist for that mouth-watering flavour that we all love. 

For an extra delectable experience, the accompanying mushroom stew is made up of a variety of mushrooms such as button, portobello, shimeji, oyster, king and avalon, and is cooked with diced onion, butter, garlic, sage and English parsley.

If you love our Beets and Carrots dish and would like something a little more adventurous this time of the year, our Roasted Carrots with Fennel, Red Onion, Mint, and Yoghurt will do just the trick. This refreshing dish with its wholesome ingredients will provide you with the nutrients that you need to keep you energised with nutritional benefits such as vitamin K and B, potassium, and fibre. 

To top it off, we’ve got yoghurt dressing made with Greek yoghurt, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon, as well as a mixture of seeds and spices to give an extra crunch and flavour to your meal.

We’re bringing back some greens to our Cold Veggie menu this festive season with our Fine Beans and Kale Salad with Pesto Dressing, tossed with honey cherry tomatoes, kale and almonds. 

First off, our fine beans are blanched in boiling water and cooled down right after to keep the majority of the nutrients intact while adding a gentle bite to your lunch. To complete the dish, our kale salad dressed in pesto sauce—made with Italian basil, garlic, parmesan, extra virgin olive oil, and toasted salmons—provides a zesty crunch that will keep you coming back for more.
